Dr. Tiffanie Spencer, Superintendent

Dr. Tiffanie Spencer is a seasoned educator who leads with heart. She is dedicated to empowering her team and ensuring that every decision supports the diverse needs of all MISD students. She fosters a culture grounded in equity, personalized learning, and collaboration by bridging the gap between administrative strategy and classroom experiences. Dr. Spencer champions the belief that students must learn in safe, inclusive, and inspiring environments, and that time, attention, and resources must always be focused on the classroom. Above all, she is committed to ensuring every MISD graduate is life ready and prepared for his or her chosen college or career path. 

Dr. Tiffanie Spencer is in her 21st year of service in public education and her 11th year at Mansfield ISD. She began her educational career in Fort Worth as a second and third grade ESL teacher before being promoted to instructional literacy coach. In 2012, she joined Mansfield ISD, where she was named assistant principal at Elizabeth Smith Elementary School. Dr. Spencer advanced to academic associate principal at Glenn Harmon Elementary School in 2014 and then to principal of Erma Nash Elementary School in 2015. In 2019, she became the executive director of teaching & learning at Duncanville ISD before returning to Mansfield ISD in 2022 to serve as the area superintendent of accountability and special populations. On February 24, 2026, the Board of Trustees named Dr. Spencer superintendent of Mansfield ISD. 

Dr. Spencer’s passion for education is deeply rooted in her own early experiences as a Mansfield ISD student. The leaders who shaped her educational journey inspired her to pursue a career in public education and ultimately return to serve the community that shaped her. Today, she continues to invest in the community as a Mansfield resident, active community member, and parent of an MISD student. 

Dr. Spencer earned her bachelor of science in kinesiology–sport administration from the University of Houston and completed her alternative certification through I Teach Texas. She holds a master of education in educational administration from Tarleton State University and a doctor of education in educational leadership from Texas A&M University–Commerce. Her professional certifications include T-TESS and T-PESS, CMSi Associate Curriculum Auditor, Texas Superintendent, Texas Principal (EC–12), and Texas Generalist (EC–4).
