Mansfield ISD campuses and district offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (MLK Day).
NOTE: The MISD Police Department (which operates around the clock all year) will remain open.

Mansfield ISD school board meetings begin with a closed session starting at 6:00 p.m. followed by regular business (open to the public) at 7:00 p.m.

MISD Center for the Performing Arts
The Mansfield ISD Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts.
The district spelling bee, sponsored by Mansfield Sunrise Rotary Club, will include the student champion from each MISD elementary, intermediate and middle school campus. The program will be livestreamed on MISDTV Productions for those who are unable to attend in person.
The winner will advance to the Star-Telegram Regional Spelling Bee to represent our district.

Mansfield ISD is encouraging the community to wear a color that represents a cancer that affected the life of a loved one during Colors for Caring Mondays.
The Colors for Caring days for 2020-21 are:

- Monday, March 1
- Monday, April 12
- Monday, May 3

The Colors for Caring initiative was implemented by former superintendent Dr. Jim Vaszauskas in 2015 after the overwhelming support he received during his bout with thymoma cancer.

Per an approved change by the Mansfield ISD School Board during the Dec. 15 regular board meeting, Feb. 19 and April 9 on the district’s 2020-21 academic calendar have been changed to early release days for all MISD students to assist teachers.

Elementary Schools: 8:00 a.m. - Noon
Pre-K AM session | 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Pre-K PM session | 10:00 a.m. - Noon
Intermediate Schools: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Middle Schools: 8:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
High Schools: 7:25 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.
Ben Barber Innovation Academy/Frontier HS | 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
