Vernon Newsom Stadium

In an effort to promote more two-way conversations between the Mansfield ISD School Board and the community, the MISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Cantu will host a community conversation meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Vernon Newsom Stadium Community Room (3700 E. Broad St., Mansfield, TX 76063).

Attendees will be able to address members of the school board and the superintendent with questions and concerns and receive direct feedback.

Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts


MISD Dyslexia Services will host its annual Discover Dyslexia Night meant to build awareness about the learning disorder on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063).

Attendees will have an opportunity to network with parents and teachers of K-12 students affected with dyslexia and learn more about dyslexia during the featured Q&A and lesson component sessions.

Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts

MISD College Night will be held on Monday, Oct. 16 at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W Debbie Lane, Mansfield, Texas 76063) from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Over 120 colleges, universities and trade schools will be available to answer questions about their respective programs and campuses. The event is targeted for high school juniors and seniors, but all students and parents looking for information to jump start the college/career decision-making process are encouraged to attend.

Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts

Pumpkin and spice and everything nice sums up Mansfield ISD's third annual WonderFALL Festival. The family fun event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts.

The free outdoor community carnival for all ages will feature Fine Arts student showcases, PTA ans school vendor booths and family-fun activities that the entire community can enjoy. For more information, visit The Center's website.

Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts

Mansfield ISD will host a Power of Choice Expo on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9:30 a.m. - noon at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063).

The expo, targeted for students going into grades 3-9 in fall 2024, will showcase the specialized programs within our schools of choice and our leadership academies. Interested parents and students will learn more about our STEM, Fine Arts, Early College High School programs, two-way dual language academies and our leadership academies in time to apply for the 2024-25 school year. Registration is not required.
