Welcome to Advanced Drawing Classes

              Advanced art classes are designed to give students with the desire a place to enhance their skills and creative mind in specific areas of art. Awareness and sensitivity to the arts place in our society and your life will be explored. Projects are presented in the creative problem solving style where students can use there personal expression and the techniques studied to produce an individual, personalized work of art. Students will also continue to evaluate their own and other works of art.

ASSIGNMENTS weeks 13-18:

•  Turn in Jime Dine Tool - started end of october Jim dine
• Back ground preps - student were required to prepare 3 papers with watercolor for future drawings. 11/17
• Mainikin Still live in charcoal - student were expected to use one of their background papers and draw a section of the still life using a charcoal pencil.  their drawings were to be accurate and contain value tones.  11/19
• Manikin Still life painting - students recieved a piece of watercolor paper to draw the manikin still life on again, this time coming in closere to the composition and finishing out the drawing with a thick outline drawing in sharpie 11/21
• Manikin painting continued - Students are to take last weeks drawing (sharpie) and paint using tempera paint, and/or finish charcoal if nessary  11/25
• Finish Manikin Painting and turn in 12/9/08
• Finish Color Packet with your Acylics and turn in 12/09/08
• INTRO TO COLOR

• Start your Expression piece before break, they will be due before the final exam absolulty no exceptions or grace week.

MIDTERM

THE LAST DAY I CAN ACCEPT ANY WORK (100+POINTS) IS  1/09/09 

I CAN ACCEPT ABSOULUTLY NO WORK WORTH OVER 100+ POINTS AFTER THAT DATE!!!!!!

•  All major work (value of 100+ points) must be turned into me the first time or for regrades on or before the 9th of January. 
• Small projects - sketchbooks - extra credit(see options at bottom of site) can be turned in up until I hand out the exams for your class.  Once the exams have been handed out absolutly no work can be excepted.
• Remeber that the exam is an open note exam.  All notes in your own hand writing that are bound together in your art folder/notebook or in your sketchbook can be used on the exam.
• Please come prepared!!!!!

A day - review = January 14th,     Exam = January 15th

B day - review = January 12th,     Exam = January 13th
