ATHLETIC TRAINING GRADING PROCEDURES
The spring 2005 semester will be graded according to the following.
3 Weeks Grading –
Test Grade --------------------------------- 50 pts.
Training Room Activities ---------------- 15 pts. 5 per week.
Practice Coverage ------------------------- 15 pts. 5 per week.
Game Coverage ---------------------------- 30 pts. 10 per week.
Appropriate Game Attire ----------------- 30 pts. 10 per week.
Total pts. --------- 140
Scale: 140 - 126 = A
125 - 112 = B
111 - 98 = C
6 Weeks Grading – Same point and scale system as the 1 st 3 weeks.
9 Weeks Grading – Points are issued the same way but the grade scale will include all three grading periods. It will be as follows.
Point totals for all 3 grading periods :
Test Grade --------------------------------- 150 pts.
Training Room Activities ---------------- 45 pts.
Practice Coverage ------------------------- 45 pts.
Game Coverage ---------------------------- 90 pts.
Appropriate Game Attire ----------------- 90 pts.
Total pts. --------- 420
Scale: 420 – 378 = A
377 – 336 = B
335 – 294 = C
This scale will be used to determine the nine weeks grade. This same system will be used for the 2 nd nine weeks but the points will start over.
