Check
Out & Computer Use Procedures: Students must
present their ID's to check out materials. All materials may be
checked out for two weeks. Students with an "Acceptable Use" policy
form on file will have a Wolf Head sticker on their ID card and
will be allowed to use the computers. Library computers are
for research only. Chat rooms, email, games, my space, and blogs
are not permitted.
Fines:
Fines of 10¢ per day will be charged on all late materials.
Lost Books: Students will need to pay the replacement
cost of the lost book plus a $2.00 processing fee. If the book that
was lost and paid for is found, the fine amount up to the date of
payment and the $2.00 processing fee will be retained. The remainder
of the replacement fee will be refunded.
Computer Printing: Printing from the computers
will cost 5¢ per page and can be picked up and paid for at
the circulation desk. Students will be responsible for all pages
they send to the printer. Students can also print in color for $.50
per page.
Copy Machine: A copy machine is located in the
library for student use. Copies are 10¢ per page. Change may
be obtained at the circulation desk.
Library Pass Information: Many classes visit the
library as a group with their teachers where passes are not required.
However, when students need to use the library on an individual
basis they must have a pass. Students must present a valid library
pass to come into the library. The student will also be required
to sign in at the circulation desk upon entering the library. Passes
are limited to no more than five students at a time per teacher
during the regular school day.
Rules: No gum, food, or drinks of any kind are
allowed in the library. Students are not allowed to use the computers
for E-mail, games, or chat rooms.
Copyright: Laws and regulations governing the reproduction
of copyrighted material will be observed. The patron is responsible
for compliance with these rules.
Collections: The Timberview High School Library
Media Center provides information, both print and electronic, which
supports the curriculum and meets the interests of students. The
library provides a collection of 7,200 print, and AV items. Students
have access to subscription databases and the internet through the
use of 47 computer stations in the library and in the library computer
lab. Information may be printed for a minimal charge.
