Using the labs:
Each student must sign in and list the number of the computer on which they are working. This will facilitate our cooperating with Technology to identify students who access inappropriate sites. Sign-in forms will be available in each lab.
It is assumed that teachers will sign up for their department lab first. Other department labs will be available for reservation, but only 3 days before the use date. For example; if you are a Science teacher and the Science lab is in use the day you need it, you may look at the calendars of the Math, English, and Social Studies labs to see if that day is available. You may not, however, sign up until 3 days before you need to use the lab. This allows teachers in each department to have first chance at their own department lab, and also allows for the use of other labs when they are available.
Do not allow students to eat or drink in any lab.
Do not allow students to change any settings (desktop, control panel, etc).
Do not allow students to use the computer for activities that do not relate to the assignment (game playing, streaming video or music, e-mail, shopping, etc).
No printing (unless prior arrangements have been made with the department chairperson.)
Turn off all equipment at the end of the day, and lock the door.
Report any equipment problems before you leave the lab by E-mailing Cody Cannon. Tell him the number of the machine which is not working properly, and briefly describe the problem.
Following
these guidelines will ensure that the labs remain in good operating condition,
and that will enhance your student's opportunities to have a positive educational
experience. Thanks for your help! ![]()
