In this course the student studies design, drawing, painting, graphic arts, and art history.  Other topics include work in clay, weaving and sculpture.  Awareness and sensitivity to one's environment will be developed, along with inventive and imaginative expression through art materials and tools.  Students will also practice visual discrimination and aesthetic judgment.

This course is a continuation of the basics of Art 1.  It stresses design and strengthens art skills.  Some of the areas in which the students work are painting, drawing, and sculpture.
