WBE Families and Friends… What a year it has been….my favorite part is that our numbers are lower this year and we don’t need to use the portable buildings behind the school. On rainy days, that is a real treat! The students love being inside for the whole day and not carrying an umbrella with them at all times. One of our newest programs in the district is a reading program called “Fast Forward” and several students have been chosen to participate in it. Both of our technology labs are being used by the children to accomplish progress in reading skills. Students play games to improve in many areas such as sequencing, comprehension, matching, memory and other concepts tied into cognitive development. The students are enjoying the games as they are expanding their growth. The PTA Bookfair was wonderful again this year. The next big plan is the Fun Run on Nov. 6th and parents are invited to attend and lend a hand. If it is raining on Nov. 6th, the date will be moved to Monday, Nov. 9th. The PTA Dad’s Club is sponsoring a “Movie Night” on Friday, December 11th. That was a real success last year! Our first music program this year will be on November 5th at 7:00pm. The title of the musical is “Go West” and they’re always fun to see because the teachers and children work so hard! Don’t forget that we have a whole week off for Thanksgiving this year – Nov. 23 through the 27th. I’m we will be able to relax and enjoy the break!! Stay safe make your days happy!
