Dear WBE Families, What a wonderful way to start the school year!! Our PTA organized an enormous bookfair during the week of September 22nd and they were very successful! They also had a family dinner night on Monday, September 22nd and two mornings with Dads and Donuts! Congratulations for doing such a fabulous job! One of our 4th graders, Luke D., won the Superintendent Star Award for September and it was presented to him at the MISD School Board meeting on September 23rd. That's s very big honor and Luke is well-deserving. Well done, Luke :) In October, there is a student holiday on October 13th (Monday) and our teachers will be arranging appointments for conferences with parents about their students. This is a great time to find out how your child is doing and what kind of work is coming up in the near future. Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30pm. At 7:00pm. there will be guest speakers to talk to adults and children about safety on the internet. The adults will meet in the cafeteria and the childen, depending on their ages, will be in the gym or the library. It is imprortant advice and the speakers are very good. The speakers for the children are experienced in working with young ones so the information they present will be appropriate. Hope you can come!
