Welcome to the Tarver-Rendon Library!

Every child at Tarver-Rendon has the opportunity to come to the library with his or her class once a week for thirty minutes.  Those who finish their books before their next class trip to the library are also welcome to come at other times during the week with their teacher's permission to return their books and check out new ones or to work on class projects.

There are many free databases available for student use from Region XI and the State of Texas.  They can be accessed from school or home, and the links are listed below. They include Britannica Online, Searchasaurus, and KidSearch.  Please contact the librarian for the passwords.

Destiny is the name of our library's online catalog.  If you would like to see if we have a certain book, you can click on the Destiny link below and search for it.  You can also search for books at a particular AR level in Destiny by typing in a reading level and changing the reading program to Accelerated Reader.

Kindergarten - 2nd grade - one book at a time; 3rd & 4th grades - two books at a time
There is no checkout available for students with overdue books. Overdue notices will be sent home at the end of each six weeks and at other times as needed. Parents may also come in before or after school to check out books for their children.
