Welcome to the Tarver-Rendon Library!

-The Fall Book Fair is scheduled for November 2-6, 2009.  If you would like to volunteer to help, please send a note with your child or call Nicole Peden.  For more information, click on the following link: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/tarverrendon.  The book fair will be open every day from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, except for Tuesday.  Tuesday we will be open from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM.  We want everyone to come to Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, November 3, from 6:30-7:30 PM.  You'll have the opportunity to participate in fun learning activities with your child and his/her teacher as well as shop together at the book fair.  We will also be hosting Lunch with a Loved One on Friday, November 6, from 11:20-1:20.  Please come and make it a special day for your child.

-Every child at Tarver-Rendon has the opportunity to come to the library with his or her class once a week for thirty minutes.  Those who finish their books before their next class trip to the library are also welcome to come at other times during the week with their teacher's permission to return their books and check out new ones or to work on class projects.

-There are many free databases available for student use from Region XI and the State of Texas.  They can be accessed from school or home, and the links are listed below. They include Britannica Online, Searchasaurus, and KidSearch.  Please contact the office or librarian for the passwords.

-iBistro is the name for our library's online catalog.  If you would like to see if we have a certain book, you can click on the iBistro link below and check it out.  iBistro also has some great links for kids, teachers, and parents to use and enjoy.

-The Pizza Hut Book It! program started in October.  Click on the link below for more information.

-The next AR parade will be Tuesday, November 17, at 2:45 p.m.

There is no checkout available for students with overdue books. Parents may also come in before or after school to check out books for their children.
