Thelma Jones Mock Election 2008

Mock Election 08
October 30, 2008 - Jones Elementary students and staff joined schools from across the nation as they participated in the National Mock Election. They voted for the 2008 Presidential candidates.

Some staff members were voting for the very first time. This was an effort to teach our young people the importance of casting ballots to choose the leaders in the White House.

With 68% of the vote, Barack Obama was the school's choice for President.

Donuts for Dads EventTurkey Collage created by TJones Dads

November 13, 2008 - The Thanksgiving themed collage was made during the Donuts for Dads event on November 13. Thelma Jones' dads signed the board then cut their ties to make the feathers for the turkey.
