Jones Elementary & Timberview HS Team Up to R.E.A.D
October 7, 2010 - On October 7, the Thelma Jones family was teaming up to read. During the day many parents, community volunteers, cheerleaders, & football players from Timberview High School came out to read to the students. The games carried over into the night with the public library card registration sponsored by the Arlington Public Library along with the book fair. Students were able to learn about the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) and "How to create a book" presented by author Chris Ford. A number of shark academic clinics were also offered by TJE staff. Just as the Texas Rangers’ season, the night was declared a homerun success!
