Mrs. Adams and I are proud of the squad’s dedication to teamwork and refining their skills in order to represent TA Howard the best way that they can.  To their merit, the squad earned several awards, both as individuals and as a squad, while at NCA Cheerleading Camp.

The following individuals were nominated for NCA All American; Caroline Cutler, Rachel Henry, Jaselyn Mays, McKenzy Monson, Paris Jones, Teri Trice, and Jaeden Wells.  This is a great honor.  Members of NCA staff award nominations to outstanding individuals that display superior cheerleading techniques in jumps, tumbling, stunting, motion technique, leadership, and dance.  The girls had the opportunity to tryout to make the All American Team.  Congratulations to Paris Jones, Teri Trice, and Jaeden Wells for making the All American Team.

Jaeden Wells was also recognized with 2 different awards for her leadership qualities.  She was 1 of 6 girls out of the entire MISD cheer camp that was awarded the "America Needs Cheerleaders" pin.  She also was chosen and awarded a plaque for her outstanding leadership qualities.

For the first time, Howard has a full time mascot that also attended camp with us.  Meagan Mesch received 2 superior ribbons for her skits that she performed during evaluations.

As a squad, the girls earned the Spirit Stick for showing sincere spirit and enthusiasm, maintaining a good attitude during classes, being prompt, cooperating well as a squad, and forging relationships with other squads.  The girls were evaluated daily by NCA staff and I am pleased to announce that they received 4 superior ribbons for displaying strong technique and leading the crowd well.

The last day of camp the girls participated in a competition for Top Team.  Howard, Danny Jones, Jobe, and Coble Middle Schools competed in the Game Day Top Team division.  We are proud to announce that TA Howard brought home the 2011 Game Day Top Team Trophy.

The girls are excited about the opportunity to show their pride and spirit to our school, students, and community. We hope to see you on campus for assemblies, pep rallies, sporting events, and more.

We appreciate your support.
