The Mansfield ISD Districtwide Educational Improvement Committee, made up of staff, parents, and community members, recently selected two options as finalists for the 2009-10 MISD School Year Calendar.

PLEASE NOTE: This year's two options have distinct differences. Option A addresses requests for a shortened opening week of school and a full week at Thanksgiving. These requests impact the spring semester allowing for fewer holidays and making some traditional holidays teacher work days (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) or bad weather makeup days (Memorial Day). Option B represents consistency as it is identical to the calendars of the last several years.

Mansfield ISD is seeking input through a survey to assist in determining which option will be best for our staff, students, and school community. Take a careful look at both options and select the one you like by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
