May 2011 -

Worley Middle School Career Day took place Wednesday, May 25, 2011. The lineup of presenters represented a broad range of careers and job fields.

The day kicked off with a keynote speech given by Judith Carrier, President of Tarrant County Community College. Following the keynote, students split into breakout sessions to hear mini-presentations by speakers such as: an Athletic Director, Microbiologist, Martial Arts Instructor, Restaurant Owner, Music Producer and many more.

There were a total of 36 career day presentations, and students had the opportunity to select the ones they were most interested to hear ahead of time.

Congratulations to our 2011 Spelling Bee winner, Daniel Cosio, and runner-up Logan Gartner. Great job! Our spelling bee champion will next compete among all K-8 campus winners around the district at the District Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Legacy High School. Good luck to Daniel Cosio!
