Dear Dino Parents/Guardians:

The year 2012 is off to a great start here at Martha Reid Elementary School with 712 students enrolled in grades Pre-K – 4th grade. I cannot thank you enough for making my first semester as principal of Martha Reid such a wonderful experience. Your words of encouragement and support have meant so much to me! I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with the highly qualified and dedicated staff, the wonderful students, and the supportive parents who make up the incredible Martha Reid family.

The staff at Martha Reid continues to be committed to working with you and your student(s) as a team. Our rigorous curriculum is directly aligned to the Texas state standards, otherwise known as the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills or TEKS. As I visit each classroom, I am continually impressed with how attentive and how motivated your students are to learn.

My supreme hope is that together with you, our parents/guardians, we will foster a lifelong love of learning in each student. The Martha Reid staff truly has a heart for your children and we are committed to providing each student the best possible education. Our school mission statement affirms this commitment:

I want to close by once again expressing my heartfelt thanks for the warm way in which you have welcomed me into the Martha Reid family. I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know all of you. I love being your children’s principal!
