Fundraiser

Snacks are sold after school by a parent volunteer. We also have a group fundraiser. With the funds we raise throughout the year, we donate to our community service projects, purchase Diversity Awareness materials, meals for members before performances or competitions, and provide bus transportation to some events.

Parents
are a big part of the MCC. We welcome all parents to attend any or all meetings, and to become pro-active in helping us plan and carry out MCC activities!

Membership Details
Contact any of the MCC leaders for an application to join, and then return it signed by both you and your parent(s). We realize that you might not be able to attend all meetings, but we do expect a commitment from you to attend as many meetings as possible and to participate in many of the club activities. Our meeting are @ 8:15 in the cafeteria. Club Calendars are also handed out once a month with activities and events we are working on.

Our Purpose
is to educate and inform the world around us about cultural diversity; the beauty it brings; and how it is possible to live in harmony with one another by following the simple rules of respect and responsibility.

We believe that every student's heritage is of value. Student's self-esteem, motivation, and academic achievement are affected by the degree to which their cultures are accepted and valued in the classroom. The holidays and cultural recognitions that we celebrate are intended to bring about awareness, appreciation, and acceptance of all cultural heritages.
