Hello Lillard Families,

We welcome you and your child to Mary Lillard Intermediate School.  Our beautiful, new state-of-the-art facility opened in August 2006, and we had a very exciting and successful first year.  Our campus philosophy is one of continuous improvement, and we have restructured a few things for the 2007-2008 school year to further enhance the educational experience for all of our stake holders.  Our master schedule and team format have been redesigned to further enrich student learning, ease the transition from the elementary to intermediate level, increase communication between school and home, and to maximize interdiciplinary application of learning.

We are here to serve your child's educational needs.  The faculty is dedicated to high academic standards with a strong emphasis on rigor, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement.  We work to reinforce habits of lifelong learning by providing a supportive environment in which to learn.  We are also committed to preparing students to be responsible citizens through high standards of personal behavior. 

I encourage you to become involved in your student's school experience.  Come have lunch with us, visit your child's classrooms, volunteer through PTA, or send us an email of compliment or improvement.  We welcome your feedback and participation at Mary Lillard Intermediate.
