The Mansfield HS Gold Dusters will be having a Mandatory Parent Meeting on February 9 and 23 for anyone interested in trying out for drill team. You must attend one of the meetings, which will take place at 7:00 PM at Willie Pigg Auditorium (located at Wester MS). You must also bring a current original utility bill, not a copy, for residency verification. All other information regarding tryouts and drill team will be discussed at the meeting. JUNIORS: Junior Parent Night will be held on Thursday, February 18 from 7-8 in the cafeteria. Representatives from TCC and UTA will be on hand to discuss college admissions and FAFSA. Make plans to attend this meeting for more information on topics relative to your senior year

The MISD Community Multi-Scholarship Program application process has begun for the 2009-10 school year. The main objective of this program is to award as many scholarships as possible from the local community groups to qualifying MISD graduating seniors. The process includes all seniors and the counseling staffs at all of the MISD high schools. It has expanded from two scholarships in 1979 to over eighty scholarships awarded each year to graduating seniors in the MISD.

TCC Update!! Attn: Current 10th and 11th graders
If you are interested in taking TCC courses next year, please stop by the counseling office to sign up for the accuplacer exam. In order to register and participate in TCC courses you must pass one or more portions of this exam (depending on your course selection). The accuplacer exam will be administered (for students who have signed up) after school on February 8th and 22nd.
Also, 11th graders currently in TCC courses: If you have not passed both the reading and writing portions of accuplacer, you may need to retake the one you have not passed in order to qualify for additional TCC courses. If you are unsure, please stop by the counseling office and place your name on the appropriate list |
