Thursday is our first Lip Dub meeting in the cafeteria at 2:30. Send at least one representative from your organization to get all of the information. This will be a blast and bigger than last year, so you don't want to miss out.
Valentine Balloon Bouquets are still on sale during all 3 lunches in the cafeteria thru Friday. We have new lower prices and all proceeds will benefit Mrs. Louviere and her family. Come by our table during lunch and send your Valentine a special gift and help Mrs. Louviere at the same time. Remember, we are Bronco Nation!!
Good luck to the Bronco Soccer teams tonight as they begin District play. They travel to Cedar Hill to take on the Longhorns. Go Broncos!!

Sophomore Student Council members: The meeting for this afternoon has been cancelled.
The MISD varsity hockey team performed well against Denton County, beating them 4-2. Bobby Baumeister led the scoring with 2 while T.J. Brown and Tanner Woody had once apiece. Junior Kyle Watson had a great night with three assists on those goals, and Tanner Woody and Owen Thompson each contributed one. Senior Matt Pressley had an impressive showing in net for the win. Four more games until the playoffs, keep it up guys!!
The Academic UIL team would like to thank everyone who made it possible to host such a successful tournament here Saturday.
Thank you to all the teachers, staff, and parents who volunteered to proctor tests! Thank you to the Mrs. Panzarella & the interact club for running a concession stand! The JROTC Department that received news that there was a mistake on the final point calculations of the Battle of the Brazos Drill Competition in Waco. As a result of the re-count they will be receive an additional trophy for finishing 2nd Overall in the Armed Drill Division. Congratulations Bronco Battalion.

The Bronco Softball Varsity will be at home tomorrow hosting a scrimmage and we want you there! The varsity will play at 10:00 a.m. against Summit and 2:00 p.m. against Keller Central. Come out and enjoy the spring like weather and take in some great softball! The Junior Varsity will travel to Summit where they will go up against Summit at 10:00 a.m. and Keller Central at 12:00 p.m. Good luck ladies!!

Congratulations to the Legacy Boys Powerlifting team for winning first place in the Summit Powerlifting meet last night. All of the lifters increased their totals from the previous meet and represented Legacy very well. The following girls have had outstanding seasons so far and are in great shape to qualify for the regional meet in a few weeks. Rebecca Bradley, Brittany Wilson and Leanne Flores. Congratulations to all of the lifters.

Anyone interested in trying out for the Silver Spurs Drill Team for 2012-2013….your last chance to qualify to audition is Monday night, February 6 at 7pm at Willie Pigg Auditorium! You and a parent must attend this tryout meeting if you want to try out for next year’s team. Bring a current utility bill for residency verification.

This is a STATE LAW and citations may be issued for any persons who violate this law.
Tuskegee Airmen: The airmen were a group of African American pilots, navigators, etc. They were considered unintelligent and not mentally capable to fight in the war because of their race. They came together to prove that they were more than capable of being successful. The airman fought for their spot as one of the most recognized groups in World War II and proved once again that blacks are just as intelligent and powerful as whites.

The Bronco softball team kicks off its 2012 season tonight at home hosting Saginaw. The JV will play from 5:30 to 6:30 and the varsity will start at 7:00. We hope to see you there!
Sophomores and Juniors who want to take Tarrant County College dual credit classes next year need to pass the Accuplacer test before taking classes. The Accuplacer will be given at 2:45 p.m. here at Legacy on February 28 and March 21. Sign up in the counseling center by February 21. Students who passed the test last October or last school year do not need to test again. Check the Legacy website or contact John Williams if you have questions.
Congratulations to the Varsity girls swim team for being Runner-up District Champions. Your Individual district medalists are Madison Yelle in the 200 and 500 Free and Morgan Ingle, your district champion in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke.
Varsity boys are the District 9 – 5A Champions. Your individual district medalists are Sam Spoonemore in the 50 and 100 Free. Will Tullbane in the 200 and 500 Free. James Copeland in the 100 Breaststroke and Andrew Larimore in the 100 Butterfly. Clark Blanton is your district Champion in the 100 free. Jon Paul Canclini is your District Champion in the 100 Butterfly. Clark Blanton, Jon Paul Canclini, James Copeland, Sam Spoonemore and Will Tullbane combined to win the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay. Debate Team does it again at UIL District CX meet at South Grand Prairie HS
Tristan Strickland and Payne Kilbourn brought home the 3rd place trophy this year. It was indeed a team effort so congratulations to all of our CX Debaters

Step back in time this weekend. The Choir will be hosting a Medieval dinner on Saturday, Jan. 28 in the LHS Dining Hall.
