The Legacy Academic Decathlon Team placed 4th in the 5A Region 8 competition. With a total of 36,503 points scored, they advance to the 5A state Academic Decathlon tournament in Houston, February 23-26, 2012. Way to go, Broncos!
Students who plan to take AP exams this Spring need to register here. Please read all directions and fill in all blanks completely and to the best of your knowledge. If taking more than one test, all should be registered for on the same form. The cost per test has increased to $87 per test if you are not currently enrolled in the class or $27 if you qualify for free/reduced lunch. See your AP teacher or Mrs. Englert with questions.
All students who are interested in trying out for the Silver Spurs Drill Team for the 2012-13 school year need to attend a mandatory meeting on either Thursday, January 26 or Monday, February 6 at 7pm at Willie Pigg Auditorium. Please bring proof of residency- current electric, gas, or water bill.
Sophomores and Juniors who want to take Tarrant County College dual credit classes next year need to pass the Accuplacer test before taking classes. The Accuplacer will be given at 2:45 p.m. here at Legacy on February 28 and March 21. Sign up in the counseling center by February 21 with this form. The MISD Community Multi-Scholarship Program on-line application process has begun for the 2011-12 school year. The main objective of the this program is to award as many scholarships as possible from local community groups to qualifying MISD graduating seniors. The effort has expanded from two scholarships in 1979 to more than eighty scholarships awarded last year to MISD graduating seniors.
