Davis Student Presents Prestigious Award to Bluebonnet Author

April 17, 2008 - 4th grade student Ella San Miguel represented District 7 at the State Texas Library Association Bluebonnet Author and Davis Student and Librarianconvention Bluebonnet Author awards ceremony. The winning author was Lucy Nolan who wrote Down Girl and Sit On the Road. 

Ella helped present the award with nine other students chosen from around the state, as well as interview the author. This is a very prestigious thing to happen to our school and district.

Third Grader Allen Gomez becomes Runner-up in Fort Worth Star Telegram Regional Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Allen Gomez for being the Runner-up in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Regional Spelling Bee. Allen was awarded a trophy and a $100 cash prize for his victory.

On Friday, February 15, the Mansfield ISD third grade student won the Area 11 Spelling Bee hosted at Mansfield Legacy High School and advanced to the Regional Spelling Bee.
