Dear Parents,
Thank you for helping us get a great start this school year. Our school doors open at 7:30 a.m. and students are expected to be in class by 8:00 a.m. Students who are not in class by 8:00 a.m. will require a tardy pass upon arrival.
As a parent, I know just how crazy the mornings can be especially if you have children at different campuses. We appreciate your help and support in getting students to school on time.
In order for us to insure the safety and security of every child, the Mansfield ISD requires that a note be sent to the classroom teacher the morning a student is going to leave early or if other transportation routine changes are being requested. If your transportation routine changes, please send a note to your child’s teacher informing them of these changes. If the student’s teacher does not receive written notification of changes the child will be dismissed home the regularly scheduled way.
At Imogene Gideon Elementary, we are dedicated to providing you with a quality academic environment. We believe the education of a child is a collaborative effort between home and school. This year we look forward to increasing our parental involvement throughout the year. I want to challenge you to become involved in your child's education by volunteering in one of our many programs this year.
I would also like to extend an invitation to parents to join and take part on our campus Site Based Decision Making Committee. Please contact one of the administrators or your child's teacher if you would like to serve in this committee.
Thank you for being a part of our Gator team!
Educationally Yours,
Imelda Little
