| Jennifer Jacobs Awarded Nearly $1200 in School Supplies |
October 2, 2007 -- Being a teacher is expensive. The people at Office Max agree and they helped one lucky first-year teacher from Glenn Harmon Elementary.
On Tuesday, October 2, first-grade teacher Jennifer Jacobs (pictured on right) was awarded nearly $1200 in items through the Office Max "A Day Made Better" campaign. Jacobs was nominated by her principal, Sharon Ferguson for the in-store campaign at the Office Max located on South Cooper Street, in Arlington.

| MISD Handwashing Campaign |
MISD
and Mansfield Methodist Medical Center collaborated together to
create a hand washing campaign for students within the district.
Students were asked to create a poster to be submitted in a contest.
Mansfield Methodist Medical Center chose three winners. Seen in
picture on the back row from left to right, MISD Board Trustee and
President Dan Phillips, Mansfield Methodist Medical Center President
Laura Irvine and MISD Board Trustee Beth Light. Front row left to
