October 2, 2007 -- Being a teacher is expensive. The people at Office Max agree and they helped one lucky first-year teacher from Glenn Harmon Elementary.

On Tuesday, October 2, first-grade teacher Jennifer Jacobs (pictured on right) was awarded nearly $1200 in items through the Office Max "A Day Made Better" campaign. Jacobs was nominated by her principal, Sharon Ferguson for the in-store campaign at the Office Max located on South Cooper Street, in Arlington.

MISD and Mansfield Methodist Medical Center collaborated together to create a hand washing campaign for students within the district. Students were asked to create a poster to be submitted in a contest.

Mansfield Methodist Medical Center chose three winners.
