The UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest Information letter has been added to the documents section. It includes important rehearsal dates for the NV Treble Clases (Blocks 2, 3, and 8). It also includes some basic information on our Pre-UIL Contest that will be held on Monday, March 8th. More details to follow.....

All Classes are currently preparing for the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest. More details will be shared with the students during their regular choir block. It is extremely important that all students come to class prepared: this would include their black folder, pencils, highlighters, and copies of all their contest music.
Extra After-school rehearsals will be added to the calendar over the next few weeks. Please make every effort to attend these rehearsals!
Important Dates to remember:
March 8th or 9th Pre-UIL Contest @ the Willie Pigg Auditorium
March 30th - April 1st, 2010 UIL C/SR Contest @ Richland High School.
Welcome Back! I am excited and looking forward to a successful year. The Choral Program continues to grow each year. Several pieces of information should have come home by now. The Handbook and Calendar have been sent home. If needed, the Choir Handbook and Calendar in the document section on the right-hand side of the page.
We will begin the ordering process for Choir Uniforms the first of next week! All students are required to purchase the DJMS Choir Shirt, which is a white, buttoned-down shirt with the Choir logo embroidered. Final costs is still yet to be determined, but should be approximately $25. Students are also required to purchase their own black pants and black shoes. These uniforms will be worn at all Concerts and Contests throughout the year. Also, the uniform will remain the same in subsequent years. So, it is good for two years! Please refer to the handbook for further information.

Congratulations to the Varsity and Non-Varsity Treble Choirs for earning 1st Division "Superior" Ratings in both the Concert and Sight-Reading portions at the UIL Concert/SR Competition!! Awesome Job, Ladies!!
