The days are long over where only books and periodicals are used for researching.  Students today need to know how to use databases, eBooks, and the Internet as well as print materials. Click the bulldog to find out how to utilize these materials.
The wise researcher uses his time to scan information and note the facts needed instead of copying the information.  A well-written paper contains paraphrased information as well as a synthesis of the information researched.  Click the bulldog to find tips and sites for note-taking.
Giving others credit for their work is not only ethical, it is the law.  Citing sources is like following a mathematics formula.  Find the desired information and "plug it into the formula."  Click this bulldog to find resources to help you cite the sources in the proper format.
The final step in the research process is to prepare the manuscript.  Like citations, there are rules to follow regarding a manuscript.  Pay close attention to the requirements of your teachers.  Click this bulldog for hints on how to prepare a manuscript of which you can be proud.
