Annoucements/Welcome:

We are back in school with lots of children reading! 

It is an exciting time as we see our students check out books and develop a love of reading.  During library time, most students have learned the correct way to take care of books.  Please reinforce this at home with your child by reading with them and talking about the correct way to treat a book.  Some suggestions are:

• have them demonstrate how to turn the pages of a book
• designate a safe place for your book when it is at home
• return the book every day to school
• ask children what it means to "hug" a book
• after reading a book, discuss the characters and the action.

Most of all enjoy the time you spend together with your child.

Again, don't forget to READ every day with your child!

3rd thru 4th- two books at a time
