June 2011-
Ponder Elementary students and staff raised $475 for disaster relief in Japan and the US from recent storms. We are so proud of our Panthers!!! |
May 2011 -
On Monday, May 30, 2011, 3rd Grade students had the honor of painting the principal Purple! Jennifer Stoecker, was a great sport as students tested their art skills. The 3rd students out-performed the 4th graders on TAKS passing and commended rate.

April 2011 -
The MISD Education Foundation recently announced two district-wide elementary grant programs:
- $4,299.00 to fund "Boom, Pow, Poof: Future Engineers Creating Chain Reactions," submitted by
Andrea Bond, Charlotte Coker, Yvette Jones and Amy Senato
- $2,799.64 to fund "Ooey, Gooey Squishy Fun," submitted by Amy Senato

October 2010 -
This Fall, the MISD Education Foundation awarded 24 mini grants to individual classroom teachers for projects up to $250. The mini grant funds will directly benefit students in the Mansfield Independent School District and will make a positive difference for them.
- Kindergarten Teacher Lynn Sluder received $203.27 to fund her grant project, “Tell Me, I'll Forget, Show Me, I'll Remember, Involve Me, I'll Understand.”
- 3rd Grade Teacher Terri Tittle received $249.95 to fund her grant project, "Family Fun with Math."
