Annette Perry Elementary Fourth Graders Travel to Austin with
Education in Action’s “Proud to be Texan” Program
:

Fourth grade teachers and students from Perry hit the road on December 3 to embark on an exploration of Texas history and heritage. Students experienced some of their fourth grade Texas History lessons through visits to the Texas State Capital and the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. A viewing of the Star of Destiny at the Texas Spirit Theater allowed students a front row seat to a gushing East Texas oil derrick as seen from Mission Control at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston. The Education in Action organization strives to educate students through unique experiences.
