First Asa E. Low Intermediate School Saturday Science Camp, A Huge Success!

On Saturday October 10, the Asa Low Intermediate School Science teachers conducted the very first 5th grade science camp! The camp was a huge success as we hosted 133 5th grade students.

The camp was designed to strengthen student's science skills in specific, targeted areas. This Saturday, the focus was on chemical and physical properties of matter, which is what our students will be studying throughout this six weeks. Our Science teachers also took this opportunity to review topics from the first six weeks such as "Lab Safety" and "the Scientific Method."

See Mr. Kizer demonstrate chemical properties to Asa Low 5th graders video

Asa Low Intermediate will conduct a Science Camp at the end of each six weeks to review previously taught material and preview upcoming information. If your student was unable to make it to this camp, don't worry, there will be plenty more opportunities.

Thank you and we look forward to serving you and your students.

Sincerely,
Jason Short, Principal
