New Student Registration

New Student Registration

New student registration can be completed online or in person at the student’s campus. To enroll your child, you will need the following documents:

  1. Parent/Legal Guardian’s Government Issued Photo Identification
  2. Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted).
  3. Student’s Social Security Card
  4. Student’s Shot Record (must show child's name)
  5. Student’s Certified Birth Certificate (Order a certified birth certificate at Texas.gov [Español])
  6. If applicable, Withdrawal Papers and Records from last school attended.

If you need assistance in determining which campus your child is zoned to attend, you may call the Department of Transportation (817) 299-6060 or use the Web Query System to find your school.

Returning Student Registration

Returning Student Registration

Returning student registration can be completed online starting Wednesday, July 19. (NOTE: Returning Student Registration is not available on the Mobile App.) Be sure to select the “returning student registration” button once you are logged into Family Access.

All students who attended MISD in the 16-17 school year are highly encouraged to complete online returning student registration and provide proof of residency prior to schedule pickup.

Many of the forms you are required to complete and sign are now electronic and can be submitted online. However, the following documents must still be submitted in paper form:

  • Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted). – Required annually for all students.
  • Parental Authorization for Third Party Access to Student Records (optional)
  • Student’s Shot Record (required for students entering Pre-K/Kindergarten and 7th grade)

Bell Schedule Changes

Bell Schedule Changes

All start and end times will remain the same for the 2017-18 school term with the exception of Pre-Kindergarten. The Pre-K morning session will end 45 minutes earlier, and the afternoon session will start 45 minutes later. The new schedule is as follows:

  • Pre-K morning session | 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (breakfast included)
  • Pre-K afternoon session | 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (lunch included)

The student handbook summarizes district policy and contains general guidelines and information.

New for the 2017-18 school term, student handbooks will no longer be four separate documents. All information will be condensed into one document for all grade levels.

Immunization Clinic

Passport Health/North Texas Flu Shots will be conducting a vaccination clinic to help you get your students updated before school starts. The clinic will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Wester Middle School (1520 N. Walnut Creek Dr., Mansfield, TX 76063). Immunization Requirements

All students entering Texas schools require immunizations prior to first-day attendance. Students entering Kindergarten and 7th grade require new vaccinations. The requirement chart reflects revisions made to 25 TAC §§97.61-97.72 and take effect on July 28, 2016. See the 2017-18 requirement chart.

Sales Tax Holiday

The Sales Tax Holiday (Tax-Free Weekend) will be held on August 11-13, 2017. As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend. To view pickup dates and times for your school, please visit the campus website. Mansfield ISD requires all students to provide proof of residency each school year. Please be prepared to provide proof of residency in order to obtain schedules or view class list postings.

School Supply Lists

School Supply Lists

MISD schools have their own school supply lists and may also sell pre-packaged supplies. We recommend that you check with your school before making any purchases. Schools post school supply information on their campus website.
