An important step toward creating 21st Century learning environments took place in the fall semester of 2012. Over 10,000 iPads were deployed to Mansfield ISD high school teachers and students.
We want to continue to build on our commitment to provide innovative educational opportunities. On Tuesday, May 22, 2012 the School Board approved the purchase of 10,720 iPad2 devices, equipment, and services needed to initiate the 1:1 program at all MISD high schools. iPad Ninja - noun. An educator skilled in educational technology concepts and iPad use.
The iPad program is another way to help MISD increase student engagement. When applied in a classroom setting, iPads can help students develop higher order thinking skills of analyzing, evaluating and creating, beyond just remembering facts and applying concepts.
