Mansfield ISD High School iPad Program

The Mansfield ISD Strategic Plan calls for the use of innovative and inspiring teaching methods.” 

An important step toward creating 21st Century learning environments took place in the fall semester of 2012. Over 10,000 iPads were deployed to Mansfield ISD high school teachers and students.

We want to continue to build on our commitment to provide innovative educational opportunities. On Tuesday, May 22, 2012 the School Board approved the purchase of 10,720 iPad2 devices, equipment, and services needed to initiate the 1:1 program at all MISD high schools. iPad Ninjas

Mansfield ISD iPad NinjaiPad Ninja - noun. An educator skilled in educational technology concepts and iPad use.

The iPad program is another way to help MISD increase student engagement. When applied in a classroom setting, iPads can help students develop higher order thinking skills of analyzing, evaluating and creating, beyond just remembering facts and applying concepts.

The iPad Ninjas are here to help other educators with tips, tricks, and tools for beginning, intermediate, and advanced iPad use in the classroom.

Mansfield High School teacher, Michele Cozart, shares one of her favorite iPad apps for the classroom. Using an interactive graphing calculator, students are able to visualize graphing equations in real time.

Timberview High School teacher, Eric Champion, shares his favorite iPad Initiative skill. Using the iPad camera and photo gallery, students can visually record and track their own progress on long-term projects and submit to teachers for approval.
