Health Services

Subject to the exceptions in §38.001(c), a student is required to be fully immunized against certain diseases. However, under §38.001 a student may be provisionally admitted if the student has begun the required immunizations and continues to receive the necessary immunizations as rapidly as medically feasible. Except as provided by §38.001(c), a student who is not fully immunized and has not begun the required immunizations may not attend school.

For further information regarding immunization requirements, immunization exemptions, and immunization documentation, please contact DSHS.

Information on Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements for Students Grades K-12 is available here.

Sixth Grade Immunization Clinic

Is your child ready for seventh-grade? There are two additional immunizations that students must have to begin seventh-grade: Tdap (Español) and Meningitis (Español).

Tarrant County Health Department will be conducting a children’s vaccination clinic to help you get your students up to date before school starts. View the consent form.

Parents and guardians can choose either of the following days to attend.

Thursday, April 20, 2017 | 9:30 a.m.

Friday, April 21, 2017 | 9:30 a.m.

See complete instructions on 6th Grade 2017 Immunizations | View the flyer

For any questions concerning the clinic or if you do not know if your child has had the immunizations, please contact the school nurse on your campus.
