*Mathematics should be Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and higher. Mathematical Models with Applications may be taken as one of the four mathematics credits, but if selected, it MUST be successfully completed prior to Algebra II (not an option for DAP candidates).

**Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Principles of Technology, and a fourth credit from an additional upper level science course. Integrated Physics & Chemistry (IPC) may be taken as one of the four science credits, but if selected, it MUST be successfully completed prior to Chemistry and Physics (not an option for DAP candidates).

***World Geography, World History, U.S. History, Government, and Economics

****Must be two years of the same language

*****4 credits of electives must be state credits


Distinguished Achievement Program (DAP)

In addition to fulfilling the requirements of the recommended high school program, students must complete a third year of a language other than English and receive any combination of four from the following advanced measures:

  • a score of three or higher on an Advanced Placement examination(s);
  • a grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher on each college course taken for high school credit;
  • a National Merit Commended Scholar or higher.
  • Original Research (Mentorship) which is judged by a panel of professionals in the field (may not be used for more than two of the four advanced measures)

Minimum Graduation Program

A student entering Grade 9 in the 2004-2005 school year and thereafter shall enroll in the courses necessary to complete the curriculum requirements for the recommended high school program unless the student, the student's parent or other persons standing in parental relation to the student, and a school counselor or school administrator agree that the student should be permitted to take courses under the minimum high school program.
