The Mansfield ISD Community Partnership Award recognizes community members who significantly contribute back to the district.
The award was recently given to Randall Canedy, who is an MISD parent, volunteer and community liaison.
Canedy is president of the Frost Bank Financial Center in Mansfield. He often gives of his time by reading to MISD students and teaching financing classes. Canedy has served on several boards and district committees, including the Facilities and Growth Planning Committee that developed the May 2017 bond proposal.
“Randall is one of the founding members of the Sunrise Rotary Club. When it comes to service about self, Randall is that example,” said Jeff Brogden, associate superintendent of facilities and bond programs. “There is seldom an opportunity to serve our community in the volunteer capacity that Randall is not first on the list.”
Frost Bank, under the leadership of Canedy, has also provided scholarships, sponsorships and donations to various district and school programs.
Canedy was formally honored at the regular school board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
