Mansfield ISD has been recertified for an award that recognizes the district’s good stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
The Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) has given MISD’s purchasing department the Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations.
The distinction is given to school districts and education service centers statewide that are committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services.
A team of reviewers evaluated the department's various procedures and practices such as organization, policies and procedures, contract operations, staff training and certification, use of technology and communication.
The MISD purchasing department will receive formal recognition on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at TASBO’s 72nd annual conference in Fort Worth.
MISD’s business services department also recently received a clean audit from third-party consultants. The full auditor’s report is available here.
