Organizers for the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Games released the list of their 729 nominees for this year’s games, which are scheduled for March 29 in Chicago.
The games take place every spring and highlight some of the top high school basketball players in the country.
A total of 123 Texas girls were nominated for the honor. Among those were Timberview High School’s Chennedy Carter, Taylah Thomas, Trelynn Tyler and Hailee Walls; Summit High School’s Amber Dixon and Legacy High School’s Grace Daniels.

The teams will be selected by the McDonald’s All-American Games selection committee through rounds of voting. The final rosters of 24 boys and 24 girls will be revealed on Sunday, Jan. 15.
McDonald's hosted its first All-American team in 1977. The program was expanded to include a girls game in 2001.
