Summer School 2015 - The Mansfield ISD will offer summer school classes, testing and programs for grades Pre-K through high school. Registration ends Thursday, May 14.  For complete details, visit this page.

BBCTA Rising Stars Discovery Camp is a fun, exciting introduction to just a few of the unique courses offered at Ben Barber Career and Technology Academy available exclusively to MISD students entering grades 6, 7, & 8 in the 2015-16 school year. This year, we are showcasing the Intro to Agricultural Science course to be held at the new Ron Whitson Agricultural Center! Online registration is available Monday, March 16 through Friday, May 22. MISD SAT/ACT Summer Institute & Junior/Senior Workshop – Get prepared for your college entrance exams with two weeks of exam preparation through the MISD Summer Institute. MISD Secondary Master Schedule Study - MISD is conducting a study of secondary master schedule models at the high school and middle school campuses. To take the survey and view all of the posted meetings, visit this link.

Judy K. Miller Elementary Option - Mansfield ISD will open a limited number of spots at Judy Miller Elementary in 2015 – 2016. Any student who is zoned to either Spencer or Smith Elementary may apply to attend Miller. Application deadline is Thursday, April 30, 2015. In addition, parent meetings are being held at Smith and Spencer Elementary to discuss the option.

New Student Online Enrollment - Online Enrollment is currently only available for the 14-15 school term. The 15-16 enrollment portal will be available for Pre-K and Kindergarten beginning Thursday, April 9. Grades 1-12 will not be open until May 1.

Bad Weather Make-Up Days - After gathering feedback from the community, the MISD School Board has approved for the additional district bad weather make-up day to be Friday, April 3. Get full details

Middle School iPad Deployment - Mansfield ISD will offer iPads as a part of middle schoolers instructional program beginning in January 2015. This program is a partnership between schools and parents to provide students with an innovative and engaging learning environment. J.L. Boren Elementary and Alice Ponder Elementary move into their new facilities - The two schools were demolished and completely rebuilt under the 2011 approved bond election. Students will return from the winter break to the new campuses on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

Toys for Tots Community Event brings in 26,000 toys!

Education Foundation Awards Grants to Staff - The Mansfield ISD Education Foundation completed its 32nd round of grants on Thursday, December 4 by surprising unsuspecting teachers and staff. Fifty-six grants (including mini grants awarded in October) were funded this semester totaling over $98K. See the list of winners and the photo gallery.

Mansfield ISD named 2014 Energy Partner of the Year - On April 29, Mansfield ISD was honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) at the 2014 ENERGY STAR Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. for our outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency.

Library Learning Commons Extended Hours - The Mansfield ISD Library Learning Commons at Legacy HS, Lake Ridge HS and Timberview HS now have extended hours on the following days when school is in session.  Students must present a current MISD ID card to enter the library.  For more information, please contact the school librarian.:
