Academic competitions provide a means to flex mental muscles and excel in one or more of the twenty-three areas listed below. In addition to having fun while competing, local and state-wide scholarships may be available to students who qualify to compete at higher levels of competition.

MHS students are offered competitive opportunities via the University Interscholastic League (UIL), Texas Forensics Association (TFA), National Forensics League (NFL), Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) and Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA).

**Notice: If you missed the Oct 25th meeting and you are interested in joining the UIL Academic Team, stop by W8 to pick up an information packet. Packets will also be available on the bulletin boards throughout the school.  ~~ Ms. Knight
