WELCOME! Please bear with us as we continue to update our site! The MHS Library serves students and staff alike, and offers great books, magazines, and newspapers, as well as a College and Career Center. Our staff can help with student project resources, recommend titles, and assist with personal information needs.

CHECKOUT PROCEDURES: A student ID is required for checking out materials. A student ID with a tiger paw is required for using the computers. In order to get a tiger paw sticker, a student must have a signed Acceptable Use form on file in the library. Books are checked out for a two-week period.

COLLECTIONS: The library provides information, both print and electronic, which supports the curriculum and meets the interests of students. The library provides a collection of 15,000-17,000 print, AV, and software items.

COMPUTERS: Students have access to subscription databases and the Internet through the use of computer stations in the library. Information may be printed for a minimal charge, and data processing is available on designated computers.

COMPUTER PRINTING: $.05 per page at the circulation desk.

COPY MACHINE: A copy machine is located in the library for student use. Copies are $.10 per page.

COPYRIGHT LAWS: Laws and regulations governing the reproduction of copyrighted material are enforced. The patron is responsible for compliance to these rules.

FINES: $.10 cents per day on regular check-outs.

HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7AM - 3PM.

LIBRARY PASSES: Students may come to the library throughout the day, but must present a pass signed by their teacher showing the date, time, and expected return time. Upon entering the library, present the pass, and sign in at the circulation desk. Passes are limited to no more than 5 students at a time per teacher during school hours. Passes are not required when visiting as a class with a teacher or before and after school.

LOST BOOKS: If a student has lost a book notify the librarian immediately. This will stop all overdue charges up to the date of notification. Students will need to pay the replacement cost of the book plus a $2.00 processing fee if new processing has occurred. If the book is later found, payment will be refunded minus the $2.00 processing fee and the overdue charges if the book was overdue.

SCHOOL STORE: Students may purchase from the following supplies for a minimal cost from our School Store: poster board, pens, pencils, folders with brads & pockets, erasers, disks, notebook paper (pkg/10 sheets) and index cards. Students do not need an ID to purchase school store supplies.
