Army JROTC is an exciting high school class designed for students with broad interests. We teach to the multiple intelligences by using sight, sound and feel. The purpose of this site is to provide information for students, parents, and our community. We do not recruit for any military service. Rather, we emphasize many aspects of military culture because pride, teamwork, and patriotism are the pillars of military life. These same ethics serve as the cornerstone of outstanding achievements throughout the adulthood of any American citizen.

We teach young people to make a difference in their community through their actions and deeds. On the average day, our young people do more than 75 percent of the speaking. The program is designed to extract personal knowledge rather than merely reinforcing random memorization. As a result, this class can be tailored to the personal needs and family values of each and every student. Do not let this mislead you, for this class is challenging. In many ways, it will prove more challenging than other high school courses. For those of you with memories of the military in your past, we are sure that you know that we lead by enforcing standards and obeying orders. To become a cadet, a title for those that earn their place in the Corps of Cadets, a student will have to demonstrate willingness to cooperate with others, respect themselves and their community, and be committed to excellence. We expect all cadets to consistently try their best.

Personal responsibility is rapidly declining in American society; and dire consequences result in every part of our lives- from exceptionally high insurance rates to the outsourcing of highly technical jobs to overseas nations. We give your student a uniform because it would not be feasible to send them home with a dog or car, and they need something to call their own responsibility. This uniform is not your responsibility, it is the cadet's alone. They must care for it, prepare it for uniform day, and wear it with pride throughout that day. Those that refuse to meet this requirement will have a very hard time making passing grades in JROTC. Each cadet has three opportunities during a week to make the uniform grade, but each day late results in a loss of 10 points more from the possible grade. During the regular 3 weeks, this grade equates to nearly one fourth of the average.
