Dear Legacy High Parents, Students and community,
What an exciting year for our seniors as they become the first graduating class from Mansfield Legacy High! We wanted this to be a memorable year for each of our seniors and spent all year planning for our Senior After Prom Party. The after prom party was just one of the exciting event finales for each of the students to celebrate their achievements in a setting that was fun, safe and memorable.
“Rock n Road” trip began in Hollywood, with some special surprises as soon as our seniors entered the doors (Each senior had a star with their name on it representing the Hollywood, walk of fame). Our road trip also offered an array of fun stops such as Las Vegas for games, a New Orleans main stage you would not have believed, and other street happenings!
Then off to New York City for a variety of it's famous street food. It did not end there! How about heading to Pikes Peak for some “Extreme sports? With a bungee run and an extreme obstacle course, just to name a few. In addition, We were excited to have an activity no other high school in the area has ever brought to such an event! The Flip book. They proved to be a huge hit, and everyone that participated received one of their own to keep.
The committee raised close to $12,000 by the event date. With the support of our dynamo PTSA, we have been able to raise funds through year long cookie sales, local business support, and parent donations. The committee was determined to having a successful after prom party.
The students were not disappointed with the prize giveaways either. Partygoers had a chance to win a TV/DVD player, a Wii, laptop, gift cards, and so much more!
Compared to other campuses, our first after prom party was smaller, certainly not in spirit or in the hard work that had been put into the event. We believe that the quality of the event and the standard’s our students have set, are just another reason to cheer "GO BRONCO's".
It has been great to have such a strong PTSA, a wonderful administration and our other district high schools sharing ideas, loan us decorations and give encouragement.
Please remember some of the many local business neighbors who were so generous, just to name a few, Lowes, Spring Creek BBQ, Wagner Carpets, Arlington Pavers and
And, most important of all Thank you to our volunteer parents, from donating brownies, to setting up the event, to chaperoning all night, your time spent, talents shared and treasures donated can never be measured! You know who you are! Our biggest thanks go out to Patti Jones, who took care of all the extras and MORE!
It is all your support that has helped us "Create a Legacy" for the years to come.
Have a wonderful summer,
Sincerely,
Sandy Wheeler & Lisa Holland
