What are the hours for getting a parking permit?
Anytime. The MISD Police Department is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Does the student’s name have to be on the insurance card to purchase a parking permit?
Yes. According to Texas Transportation Code Sec. 601.081, the name of

What type of payment do you accept?
At this time, we only accept cash, checks or money orders. Sorry, no debit or credit cards.

Where is the fingerprinting office?
The fingerprinting office is located in the lobby of the MISD Police and Technology Building. When you enter through the main entrance, just turn to your right.
What happens when I appeal a ticket?
Appeals are reviewed and a determination is made if the appeal warrants dismissal. If further information is needed before a decision can be made, you will be contacted to schedule a meeting with the Chief of Police who will then make the final decision on the appeal disposition. If dismissed, no further action is required and you will be notified of the dismissal.
How do I get a parking permit if I only have dealer tags on my vehicle?
Come by the MISD Police Dept. or your campus police office to be issued a temporary permit until you receive your permanent plates.
Why do I have to file a report if I just lost my I.D. badge?
The badge is MISD property and the loss must be documented for the protection of our staff and students. |
