Mansfield ISD seeks to employ the most qualified applicants; therefore, persons with valid teaching certificates will be considered first for long term teaching assignments.

Substitute Application Process

Completed application consists of the following:

Online Substitute Application
Mandatory attendance at a Substitute Orientation Session.
Review and completion of the Substitute Handbook

Substitute Teachers

Minimum 48 college hours (verified by transcript) or Minimum two years experience as an instructional aide on a K-12 Mansfield ISD Campus. (verified by service record)

Pay: $75.00/Day (more than 4 hours) or $85.00/Day (after 10 days for long term assignment).

Substitute Paraprofessionals

Applicants seeking employment for classroom aide substitutes only:
Minimum high school diploma or GED (verified by transcript or diploma certificate)
Pay: $55.00/Day (more than 4 hours)

Substitute Nurse

Same requirements as substitute teachers.

Pay: $75.00/Day
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the State of Texas

NEW SUBSTITUTES REQUIRED ORIENTATION MEETING

The online application must be completed in order to attend an orientation meeting.
You must attend a scheduled orientation before you can substitute.
You will not need to sign up for an orientation, just attend (bring no paperwork at this time).
You must be able to stay the whole orientation session.
Seating capacity is 150. First come, first served.

All RETURNING SUBSTITUTES must return their Letter of Reasonable Assurance and attend a required Emergency Operations Procedure Training/Update Session.
