| Under general supervision, assist in maintaining and providing for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities. | |||

| General knowledge of plumbing repairs and maintenance Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to use hand and power tools |

| Major Responsibilities and Duties: | |||
| Maintenance and Repair | |||
| 1. Install and do minor repairs on faucets, fixtures and drains. 2. Receives and complete work orders as issued under supervision of a journeyman plumber. 3. Retrieve parts and tools as needed. 4. Assist in repairing kitchen equipment that incorporate gas and water consumption. 5. Assist licensed plumber's in all fascists of commercial plumbing repair and remodeling. 6. Assist in the repair or installation of irrigation systems. |

| 7. Assist in performing preventive maintenance on tools and
equipment. 8. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. 9. Assist in ensuring that equipment is in safe operating condition. 10. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. 11. Report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately. |

Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions under buildings, around gas lines, around fumes and toxic chemicals, outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent districtwide travel. | |||
