| Assist the custodial supervisor in directing, coordinating, and monitoring all custodial services for all district facilities in order to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. | |||

| High school diploma or GED Valid Texas driver's license Insurable by the district's insurance carrier |

| Knowledge of routine custodial practices, methods, and services Knowledge of various types of custodial equipment, chemicals, and products used in cleaning maintenance Mathematical and mechanical aptitude Effective planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills |

| Experience: | |||
| Three years experience in building management, including one-year supervisory experience preferable in custodial work | |||
| Major Responsibilities and Duties: | |||
| Custodial Management; | |||
| 1. Supervises evening custodians. 2. Works with principals and supervisors to solve custodial problems. 3. Delivers supplies as needed to custodian during the school year and summer months. 4. Supervises summer custodial crews. 5. Assist the supervisor with continuous appraisal and improvement of the custodial staff, evaluates job performance, trains, motivates, and disciplines custodial staff. 6. Delivers and picks up custodial equipment for repairs. 7. Instruct custodians on the proper use of equipment and cleaning materials. 8. Works with principals to ensure quality services are provided. 9. Makes minor maintenance repairs as needed. 10. Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical and responsible. 11. Attends required staff development as assigned by the administration and/or supervisor. 12. Follow up rules, regulations, and policies of the school district. 13. Performs other functions that may be assigned by the administration and/or supervisor. 14. Assumes the duties of the custodial supervisor in his absence. |

| 15. Follow instructions for proper and safe use of equipment
and chemicals. 16. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. 17. Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition. 18. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc. 19. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to administrator/supervisor immediately. |

| Custodial equipment to include but not limited to buffer, stripper, wet and dry vacuum cleaner, industrial cleaning supplies, electric drill, extractor, ladder, small hand tools, and shampooer. Light truck or van. Personal computer and related software. | |||

| Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: | |||
| Frequent walking, standing, climbing, pushing and bending
throughout the day, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside,
on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, and ladders. Exposure to noise and
electrical energy. Occasional lifting and carrying 15-50 pounds. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials. Frequent district wide travel to each campus, climbing in and out of vehicle approximately 15 to 20 times per day. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours. |
