| Provides an enriched learning environment for the preschool children and is responsible for their safety, health, and welfare in assigned classroom or as needed. Must be consistent and predictable in the physical and emotional care of all children. Must show competency, good judgement, and self-control in interactions with staff, young children, families, and students. Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times. | |||

| Education/Certification: | |||
| -One year of experience as a full time teacher
in a quality child-care center working with toddlers through 5 year olds
required |

| Special Knowledge/Skills: | |||
| -Must have knowledge of age appropriate curriculum and materials
for preschool children as well as proficient knowledge of technology -Must receive first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of children, in addition to a Food Handler certificate as required by Tarrant County Health Dept. -Must maintain the required yearly minimum clock hours of training in child development and management training as stated in "Texas Minimum Standards for Day Care" -Provide children learning opportunities and materials based on the NAEYC Performance Criteria -Working knowledge of the Texas Department of Family and Protective (TDFPS) licensing guidelines for child care centers |

| Major Responsibilities and Duties: | |||
| -Assist in creating a predictable, consistent,
and harmonious classroom for young children -Supervise and nurture the intellectual, physical, and emotional well being of all children -Schedule regular parent conferences -Monitor the maintenance of facilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe center -Work with the Children's Center Supervisor and the program staff to implement curriculum goals and objectives through daily learning activities and weekly lesson plans |
