MISD is committed to providing climate control to all district buildings during regular school hours. At the end of the school day, all systems (heat, A/C, lights, ect) revert to an unoccupied mode.

If a site has a school related event after hours, they will need to submit an "Event Notification" form to assure the required environmental controls are activated.  All facilities are encouraged to use the "Event Calendar," see designated campus personnel for assistance.  All events require 72 hours prior notice.

Any public group that desires to use any facility must contact the building Principal for preliminary approval. The principal must then complete an event notification and submit it to the facilities office. AC will not be provided without an approved event notification.

The Mansfield I.S.D. Facilities Department is dedicated to providing 24 hour service in the case of a real emergency. Due to budget restraints, some not so urgent problems may have to wait until the next workday. Sites are expected to do all they can to help themselves whenever possible.

An emergency number is manned by Facilities Department personnel after regular business hours. That number is: 817-299-6000 (as of October 2).

Examples of situations that constitute an emergency are:

Broken water lines

No heat in freezing weather

Broken windows

Examples of some things that are not an emergency are:

No air conditioning for events that are not school related

No heat for school and non -school related events in non-freezing weather

Broken locks on interior doors

Alarm systems that will not reset (This includes fire and security.)
