D.P. Morris Elementary School went into lockdown on Friday afternoon, January 7, 2011 shortly before school dismissed due to a possible safety situation in a nearby neighborhood.
Mansfield ISD District Police were on site and worked in coordination with Arlington Police. The school's safety alert was lifted at 3:40 PM.
School bus schedule routes were on a delay due to the temporary situation.
