Two Mansfield ISD principals, Chuck Roe from Brockett Elementary and David Wright from Legacy High School, were recently honored with state-level recognitions.
Chuck Roe, Principal at Brockett Elementary, was named District 11 President-Elect for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). Roe and his fellow officers from the 20 TEPSA districts across the state were installed at the association's July Leadership Conference.
“District officers play a vital role in communicating TEPSA's mission at the local level,” stated the association's Executive Director Sandi Borden. “They are committed to supporting and representing members so that Texas PreK-8 students can continue to succeed.”
An active member of the Technology Ad Hoc Committee, Roe has also served on the TEPSA Membership, Marketing and PR Committee.
David Wright, Principal at Legacy High School, was named Region XI Outstanding High School Principal by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP). Wright and other three regional award recipients will be recognized at the TASSP summer workshop in June 2011. They also have the opportunity to apply for the state principal award in their category, high school and middle school.
“Chuck and David are two exceptional leaders,” said Dr. Bob Morrison, Superintendent. “These two administrators play key roles in the district and this recognition is well-deserved.” |
