The Mansfield ISD Communications Department won Silver and Gold awards for 2009 at the recent Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Conference Star Awards competition.
Each year, districts across the state submit hundreds of entries in 44 print, electronic, and campaign categories. The annual awards provide recognition for the outstanding education communications and projects of TSPRA members.
Below are the Star Awards received during last week's 2010 TSPRA conference by Mansfield ISD in the Districts with over 30,000 students Category:

Gold Award - MISD Employee Reception poster - A Night At The Improv / Posters
Jerry Cantu (Multimedia Specialist)
Silver Award - “Super Grad” / Photography

Gold Award - MISD Minutes: Apple iPod Touch / Training & Instructional Video
Additionally, professional communication presentations were given and facilitated at the conference by each of the MISD Communications Department staff members.
Mansfield ISD Communications Department staff members who attended the 2010 TSPRA conference were Terry Morawski, Assistant Superintendent of Communications & Marketing; Richie Escovedo, Director of Media and Communications; Alicia Boykin, Coordinator of Web Services; and Jerry Cantu, Multimedia Specialist.
